will.i.am says Justin Bieber’s mother will help him through his rough patch.
The 19-year-old singer has had a difficult time after a recent controversy-filled trip to London – which included him turning up 2 hours late to a show and getting into an altercation with a photographer – and new reports of his pet monkey being seized by customs.
It seems he has support from the ‘Scream & Shout’ rapper, who has suggested he his parents could be the secret to saving his reputation.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “It’s dangerous to be a child star, but it’s dangerous to be a child in the ghetto, or to be a child at school being bullied.
“If you have good parents, you’ll be all right. Justin’s mom is great.”
The ‘Beauty and the Beat’ hitmaker’s grandmother also weighed in earlier this month, adding he may have fallen in with the wrong crowd and is struggling to “cope” with being a celebrity.
She said: “I don’t think for one moment this is all about him being a bad boy. He’s only just turned 19 and he’s still learning to cope with the pressures of fame.
“But it’s worrying. You read all sorts of things about him … and he needs to understand some of those so-called friends probably don’t have his best interests at heart.”
